Sweet orchids, jasmine, coffee flowers and patchouli for the manifestation of love. The Fragrance

Darling De Gabor is a contemporary gourmand sandalwood perfume that has participated at the international fragrance competition organised by World Perfumery Congress in Miami in 2016 for professional perfumers and selected among the best 10 sandalwood creations worldwide. Darling also means Sweetheart. The perfume created around a top-notch natural sandalwood has been very well received by both sandalwood and the gourmand perfume lovers and featured in the Best Indie/Niche Perfumes of the Last Decade by Fragrantica in 2020.

The Brand

Gabriel Gabor, a seasoned perfumer since 2010, designs bespoke fragrances and hosts exclusive olfactory workshops.

Trained in Grasse, France, his childhood passion for scents led him to become a perfumer. In 2014, he developed a niche fragrance as part of Christian Dior's training programme.

His Oud collection made its debut at Beauty World Middle-East in 2016 and Darling fragrance received acclaim at the World Perfumery Congress.

Gabriel Gabor now creates fragrances for designer brands and for his own label. Launched in 2019, DE GABOR can be found in over 72 luxury shops worldwide, including ROJA DOVE HAUTE PARFUMERIE at Harrods in London.

The Perfumer

Gabriel Gabor was born in Budapest. From an early age, he was fascinated by smells and perfumes. He began to dream of becoming a perfumer, a profession he considered as uncommon as that of an astronaut.

To realize his dream, Gabriel Gabor left his homeland to study chemistry, then perfume creation and composition techniques in Grasse. He distinguished himself by his talent and originality, and graduated as a certified perfumer in 2000.

He went on to make a name for himself with his bold, innovative creations, which won him several awards. In 2019, he decided to launch his own brand of niche perfumes. Through his fragrances, he invites us to explore the invisible, to feel the soul of the world.

Gabriel Gabor has remained true to his explorer's soul, which drives him to constantly discover new horizons. He is, in a way, a perfume astronaut.

    This is probably the most special sandalwood scent I have tried. So creamy and unique, it reminds me of the smell of a buttery and comforting skin, as weird as it can sound. To me however, that’s just magical. It has the smell of the neck of a person that you love, when you get next to them for a hug. Sometimes slightly gourmand and fruity and sometimes, a bit more animalic. But always so smooth, so easy to wear, and at the same time sensual and different. Super long lasting on my skin too, this is a fragrance and a house that I cannot recommend you more. Well done Gabriel De Gabor, I cannot wait to see what you come up next with!
