A pleasure-evoking patchouli scent with a gourmand twist.

Persephone’s Patchouli enters with a fresh and elegant cardamom lightly laced with plum and pomegranate. Bright and uplifting, the fragrance has the energy and feel of a warm spring day. 

The heart of the fragrance takes us deeper into summer, with Egyptian jasmine, an aromatic, clean patchouli and the velvety petals of Bulgarian rose. The composition retains its natural and sophisticated feel with the patchouli providing a grounding balance to the more floral elements.

In the base of the fragrance, a smooth and sophisticated sandalwood is lifted with honey and rounded out by the silky warmth of ambergris.

The Fragrance

Persephone was beautiful both inside and out, and her sweet nature and pure soul were adored by gods, goddesses and humankind. Associated with flowers, the harvest, fruit, grain and the bounty of nature, Persephone’s story became a way of understanding the changing of the seasons. Trapped in the underworld for six months of the year, because she had been tricked into eating pomegranate seeds, Persephone returned to the surface with the return of the warmer months, only to be forced to venture underground when the seasons changed again. This perfume was created with Patchouli of the Underworld as a pair. Two perfumers explored the central note of patchouli through their own unique viewpoints whilst using the story of Pluto and Persephone as the inspiration. 

The Brand

ELECTIMUSS is inspired by the elegance and splendour of ancient Rome. In Roman culture, perfume played a central role, enhancing purification rituals, celebrations and moments of seduction.

Electimuss means ‘’choosing the best‘’ in Latin, a motto that epitomises the very essence of this brand, even though it was born in England. This quest for excellence guides each of its creations.
