The Fragrance

What the legend says: "I will cry, cry, let us do like the birds, oh my beloved, call Iâaqqub, and I call him." From one end of the Imilchil mountains to the other, Tislit sent these verses that became famous, to his lover who responded with no less pathetic verses. Famous? Rather legendary because the two verses refer to the Amazigh culture of the Middle Atlas, in a legend that says something like this: "once upon a time, a long time ago, there were two lovers who made headlines for their wonderful idyll, but the god of love, outraged by the indescribable violation of the rules, after transforming them into birds, decided that the two lovers would live in the same forest without ever seeing each other." Thus began the ordeal of those who have become a reality for the people of the Middle Atlas. Everyone here will tell you, at night, that the cries you hear clearly: "Yaakoub" "Ishaak" are those of the cursed lovers. They call each other and slowly approach each other until, they say, they occupy the same tree, fearing to cry at the same time and not to hear each other, they both fall silent at the same time, and a heavy silence envelops the forest. At that moment, with a twisted heart, the women and men who know and believe in love with tears pity these cursed loves for no apparent reason. It is in memory of this constant renewal that Tislit sends these verses to Isli.

The Brand

In the beginning is a perfume house based in France and founded by Philippe Constantin in 2013. From the outset, all the perfumes it offers are made with an emphasis on craftsmanship, originality and quality.

A few years later, he decided to create MAISON INCENS in honour of his father and the manuscript he bequeathed to his son: a compilation of leather paintings and scented stories. Philippe's creations are the olfactory signature of his father's book.

The collections he creates are inspired by an unknown civilisation called ARTGANIS, whose communication codes are based on fragrances and whose life is governed by smells.
