La Fragrance

From their stays in Japan, the Artganians brought back traditional fabrics with indigo patterns to Artganis. They use them to read the future by interpreting the patterns left by the dyeing process called SHIBORI. Shibori is an ancient dyeing process that originally comes from Japan. The term “shibori” means “to tighten by twisting” and in fact, the method consists of folding fabrics by folding them using various very specific techniques. The fabric is folded, sewn or tightened and then dyed. Certain areas have therefore received less or no colored pigments at all, so they will reveal true geometric and degraded shapes after unfolding. The oldest fabric dyed with the Shibori method was found in Japan and dates from the 8th century. It is in the land of the rising sun that this art has been perpetuated. At the time, this fabric was used for the outfits of the Samurai, and the kimonos of the Japanese noble class. 

La Marque

Au départ est une maison de parfums établie en France et fondée par Philippe Constantin en 2013. Dès l'origine, tous les parfums qu'elle propose sont fabriqués en mettant l’accent sur l’artisanat, l’originalité et la qualité. 

Quelques années plus tard, il décide de créer MAISON INCENS en l'honneur de son père et du manuscrit qu'il a légué à son fils : une compilation de peintures sur cuir et d'histoires parfumées. Les créations de Philippe sont la signature olfactive du livre de son père.

Les collections qu'il crée s'inspirent d'une civilisation inconnue appelée ARTGANIS dont les codes de communication reposent sur les parfums et la vie régie par les odeurs.

Le Parfumeur

Jean-Claude Gigodot, disparu en 2024, avait le talent de manier le contraste avec élégance. Son style se caractérisait par un usage méticuleux des matières premières, associant fréquemment des ingrédients naturels aux accents parfois brutaux à des notes plus douces et rondes. Ses créations donnaient ainsi l’impression d’un dialogue olfactif, où chaque note répondait à une autre dans un équilibre toujours parfait, mais jamais tout à fait prévisible.

Il affectionnait particulièrement les matières premières complexes comme le labdanum ou la mousse de chêne, qu’il enveloppait de touches hespéridées pour alléger leur densité. Un simple bouquet floral pouvait devenir une explosion épicée, et un oriental capiteux se transformer en un parfum aérien d’une légèreté désarmante.
