The Fragrance

The inspiration: "My father’s poetry is at the core of every single fragrance I compose. For my thirteenth perfume, I wanted to pay an even more direct homage to his personality. Named after him, Montri conveys aspects of his character and idiosyncrasies, the things he loved and believed in, as well as the fragrances he mostly enjoyed. Wanting to reflect the soul’s eternal character, I went one step further: I imagined what kind of fragrance he would have loved today, had he still been alive.

I decided to compose a fragrance built around Oud Palao, in a manner and style corresponding to the classic French perfumery tradition. I surrounded Oud with a soft Spice Blend, elegant Florals and noble Woods, but also Orris Butter – thus paying a tribute to one of my father’s most beloved fragrance notes." – Pissara Umavijani

A multi-talented artist herself, Pissara Umavijani not only composes unique, soulful perfumes but also draws illustrations that capture the spirit of her fragrances. 

This passion for fine fragrance begins with her love of classic French perfumery. To that, Dusita brings their own knowledge of the fragrant oils, powders and resins of our Thai heritage.

Their internationally awarded and widely acclaimed fragrances are, furthermore, enriched with Pissara’s boldly creative, contemporary touches, making them both current and timeless.

The Perfumer

Pissara Umavijani grew up in Thailand, in a house filled with books and poetry. A young artist passionate about fragrances, she began to create her own perfumes, mixing rare and precious scents.

She dreamed of opening her own Perfume House, and in 2011, she brought her dreams and creations to Paris. After learning the science of perfumes on her own, she continued to produce her first collection of exclusive fragrances with a large perfume production house in Grasse.

Parfums Dusita was launched in 2016, becoming the newest Maison de Haute Parfumerie in France.
