Maison Cataliya is a French brand that celebrates the ancestral craftsmanship of ceramic artisans specializing in Zellige.
By collaborating with them, Maison Cataliya works to preserve and enhance this unique heritage.
From this artistic encounter, six perfumes were born, each linked to a historic ceramic, telling the stories of these artisans and perfumers who, for millennia, have infused North Africa with colors and scents that are envied and admired around the world.
The Story
The essence of Maison Cataliya lies in its authentic and sincere commitment to transmission.
Founded by Dahmane Ouafi, this brand was born out of his unconditional love for his eldest daughter, Cataliya. He wishes to convey the richness of his cultural heritage to her through the subtle language of haute perfumery.
Passionate about perfumes, a former distributor, and owner of another brand, Dahmane created Maison Cataliya to offer himself total creative freedom.
This brand is a breath of fresh air, a desire to create art for art's sake, without any restrictions.
The Founder
Dahmane, born near Algiers, spent a decade distributing French perfume brands in Africa before launching his own brand, Maison Maïssa, at 34, named after his daughter. Passionate about the beauty and hidden treasures of his country, he showcases his heritage through his perfumes. In 2024, he founded Maison Cataliya, an artistic fusion between ceramicists and perfumers, tirelessly exploring new inspirations through his travels to enrich his creations.
