The Fragrance

Moving, dancing, playing, pursuing on the giant checkerboard at Les Bains Paris. A mythical place. Beware, a Queen can move in any direction. A trail of perfume. Dance floors. Playgrounds. A treasure hunt. Small tiles, large squares, black and white diagonals. Kinetic impressions. Sharp, dark and spicy head notes of black pepper contrast with a generous white base of musky, milky sandalwood.

The Formes et Matières Collection is an olfactory odyssey through the shapes, patterns and materials you can see and touch at 7, rue du bourg l'abbé. Giving a fragrance to materials, a colour to vowels, blending emotions, unsettling the senses.

The Brand

Les Bains Guerbois fragrances are inspired by a famous place. Spa, then nightclub, then hotel, a place with a thousand stories, a place to celebrate, a place of well-being, a place of legend, constantly reinvented to embody a creative, glamorous, festive Paris, for nearly 140 years.

Les Bains Guerbois, founded by Auguste Guerbois, opened in 1885 and immediately became the Parisian temple of well-being and beauty, where the Gotha and artists such as Manet, Monet, Zola, Renoir and Proust would meet.

In 1978, the venue became Les Bains Douches, one of the world's most famous nightclubs, frequented for a quarter of a century by the greatest artists and personalities of the time.

In 2015, the heir to the premises, film producer Jean-Pierre Marois, transformed Les Bains into a 5-star boutique hotel with restaurant, bars, lounge, spa, concept store, concert hall and, of course, nightclub.

In 2016, he brought Les Bains Guerbois back to life by creating its own fragrances.

The Perfumer

Fanny Bal discovered her vocation while reading Patrick Süskind's novel Le Parfum, which fascinated her with its olfactory universe.

She became a pupil, apprentice and assistant to Dominique Ropion, one of the greatest perfumers of his generation. She has worked with him on numerous projects for prestigious brands.

She loves experimenting and innovating with finesse and harmony. She creates fragrances that tell stories, awaken sensations and express personalities. 

Fanny Bal is considered one of the new stars of French perfumery, thanks to her freshness, spontaneity and audacity.
