The Fragrance

The inspiration: "During a voyage to the beautiful beach of Krabi in Southern Thailand, I ended up walking in a tropical forest near the Andaman Sea. There came a special, almost meditative moment when I felt a gentle breeze blowing through the trees. At that very instant I experienced a wonderful sense of liberty and profound silence. Those were the feelings I tried to communicate when I created Issara. I built my composition essentially like a Fougère but with several modern twists, adding aromatic components which I associate with my love for nature and freedom. I chose Clary Sage, Pine, Oak Moss, Ambergris, Vetiver Bourbon, Tonka Bean and Musk, creating an olfactory harmony which depicts, almost mystically, the essence of a forest: green, fresh and woody, bristling with life and Nature’s tonifying energy." – Pissara Umavijani

The Brand

Parfums Dusita offers fragrances that communicate with various forms of art and creation, starting with the poetry of Montri Umavijani, father of our perfumer, Pissara.

A multi-talented artist herself, Pissara Umavijani not only composes unique, soulful perfumes but also draws illustrations that capture the spirit of her fragrances. 

This passion for fine fragrance begins with her love of classic French perfumery. To that, Dusita brings their own knowledge of the fragrant oils, powders and resins of our Thai heritage.

Their internationally awarded and widely acclaimed fragrances are, furthermore, enriched with Pissara’s boldly creative, contemporary touches, making them both current and timeless.

The Perfumer

Pissara Umavijani grew up in Thailand, in a house filled with books and poetry. A young artist passionate about fragrances, she began to create her own perfumes, mixing rare and precious scents.

She dreamed of opening her own Perfume House, and in 2011, she brought her dreams and creations to Paris. After learning the science of perfumes on her own, she continued to produce her first collection of exclusive fragrances with a large perfume production house in Grasse.

Parfums Dusita was launched in 2016, becoming the newest Maison de Haute Parfumerie in France.
