The Story

Founded in Singapore, Maison de l'Asie has developed a unique expertise by working with fifth-generation perfumers based in Grasse, the cradle of French perfumery. Together, they craft olfactory creations of rare finesse, celebrating the most precious and noble materials, meticulously selected from around the world.

Each Maison de l'Asie fragrance is conceived as an intimate story, an evocation of deep emotions and unforgettable memories. Through its compositions, the Maison weaves an almost invisible connection between the fragrance and the person who wears it, creating a sensory experience where each note awakens a singular emotion, like a fragment of a shared memory.

The Founder

Elizabeth Liau, fondatrice des parfums MAISON DE L'ASIE. Elle porte une tenue sombre décolletée, son visage est de profil, elle a les cheveux longs, elle tient dans sa main un flacon de parfum.

Elizabeth Liau grew up in Singapore, but has Shanghainese, Malay and Dutch Indonesian roots. She has lived all over the world, immersing herself in diverse cultures. On her return to Asia, she travelled further and rediscovered the unique beauty of this part of the world. Her passion for French perfumery and the link between smell and memory led her to use perfume to tell her stories. Combined with Elizabeth's talent for evocation, these have become the foundation of the Maison de l'Asie.

Our Expert's Choice

"Maison de l'Asie was an obvious choice for me. The fragrances from this House have a depth, a rare emotional density, that resonates with those looking for olfactory experiences far removed from ephemeral, soulless compositions. The choice of raw materials and this unprecedented concentration of 35 to 40% offer incomparable staying power, without sacrificing elegance or subtlety. These fragrances are made for those who understand the true value of a well-balanced composition, of a trail that leaves a lasting impression without ever being ostentatious".

What’s New

God and Moon

The light of the moon, pure and ethereal, tender and captivating.

God and Moon pitches the moon against a velvet sky filled with constellations. The immaculate purity of the moon, reflecting her light onto petals of unctuous gardenia, delicate jasmine and fruity tuberose – wafting through the mystical night air. Juicy and fruity notes of fleshy plum and tart blackcurrant combine with the subtle spice of carnation. The balsamic heart of honey, tonka and labdanum is given intrigue through coffee and vanilla. A faint trail of oud and woods carry you into the silence of a moonlit land, where new intentions are set.

Chapter 01

"Chapter One inaugurates Maison de L’Asie’s narrative with three evocative perfumes, each echoing nostalgia and memories in Singapore. Nostalgia, portrayed through various senses, transcends the ache for unknown places and yearns for moments like the comfort of a familiar touch. The chapter unfolds against the backdrop of Singapore, where the old and new coexist, blending masculine and feminine, and harmonizing Eastern and Western influences. The narrative encapsulates the emotional journey through life’s fleeting moments, merging the past with the present in a cultural tapestry that blurs traditional and modern boundaries. "

Chapter 02

"A fantasy of a beautiful world, painted through blushes of crimson and violet, and dashes of sunlight. We dream of secluded places where the sky meets the sea in seamless harmony, hushed by a sense of longing for connections as fleeting as the waves. Entranced by the intensity of the afternoon sun drenching the temples and bamboo groves, we fall into deep reveries, liberated from reality and able to reach for our special hopes and dreams. We envision an island where two lovers meet, and the moments just before dawn not yet awakened, after a dreamless night. The world will go on, as it does, and we will only awaken from our reverie upon hearing our name. "

Chapter 03

"This is an olfactory chapter on time, exploring the changing nature of the city, through vibrant and vivid accords and tonalities of light. Time is ever marching forward, ourselves forever transformed in every passing moment. An invitation to revisit who we are and were, with the layers of time unfurling piece by piece until we are left in a windswept landscape, a world stripped to its essence – glittering with an arid and troubling beauty."

Chapter 04

"The fourth instalment In the Maison de L’Asie story is told in Chapter Four, through three elemental fragrances of transcendent experiences across the spiritual nation of India. A country of a hundred nations and a hundred tongues, stories of wonder and love, myriad landscapes effervescent with colour. The intensity of nature surrounds you, the richness of yellow and red earth, the lushness of foliage and flora. The power of a vibrant land that breathes silence, with sacred hymns flowing to the vibrations of the perfumed wind. An olfactory chapter that honours the fundamental and the divine, through deeply introspective scents that evoke a sense of peace. "
