The Lesquendieu Brand

The promise of Lesquendieu : a true luxury fragrance, clean, natural and made in France. "We’ve relaunched five fragrances from our one hundred years of history and have created a whole new collection with the third generation of Lesquendieu at its helm. Our creations are assembled from the rarest ingredients, mainly of natural origin. From the maturation of the concentrate to going into production, all Lesquendieu perfumes are manufactured in the Grasse workshop, in the world capital of perfume. The fragrances are handmade and require many hours of passionate work. Each "Eau de Parfum" is finished with a pure 24 karat gold plated cap and label, box included. At Lesquendieu, nothing is left to chance."

This image shows two perfume bottles from Lesquendieu, a French perfume company founded in Paris in 1903. The fragrances are Lilice and Bonne Fortune, two niche perfumes sold on the SCENTISSIME online boutique. The bottles have an elegant design with geometric shapes and gold caps. They are set on a light wood surface, probably a piece of furniture or a countertop, next to a decorative frame. The image highlights the refined and distinctive aesthetic of Lesquendieu products, reflecting their heritage and high-end positioning.
This image shows two men standing in front of an old vehicle bearing a sign for a perfumery called “Parfumerie Lesquendieu”. The vehicle appears to be a van or pickup of the period, with characteristic spoked wheels. The two men, presumably employees or owners of this perfumery, are photographed outside the establishment. The image captures a historical moment related to this French perfume company founded in the early 20th century, whose products were featured in the previous image. This photograph offers a glimpse of the context and times in which the Lesquendieu brand evolved in its early days.

The Story of Lesquendieu

LESQUENDIEU was created in 1903 at 5 bis rue de la Tacherie in Paris, by a young graduate of the Amiens School of Pharmacy: Joseph Lesquendieu. A member of the Board of Directors of the Chambre Syndicale de la Parfumerie de Paris and was named Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur in January 1926 for his remarkable contribution to the Perfume and Beauty industry. When Joseph Lesquendieu died in 1962, the House had acquired a good reputation. But in the absence of the founder, who was involved in every step of the creative process, the House ceased production and remained “dormant” from the beginning of the 80s until 2015, when the third generation of Lesquendieu made the decision to relaunch business activity.

The Founders

Picture of Jérôme Lesquendieu and Lucca Bernadou de Commarque, co-associates of the PARFUMERIE LESQUENDIEU niche perfume brand.

In 2015, one of the grandsons of the founder, Jérôme Lesquendieu, who grew up in a family of perfumers with well-established values, decided to revive the family House by bringing his vision combining know-how and modernity. To respect his grandfather’s legacy, he built a project from a dream, a real quest, and trained in every aspect of the business down to the smallest detail. Very quickly, Lucca Bernadou de Commarque, a Parisian artistic director working in fashion and luxury, joins the adventure. A shared vision and a great friendship between the two men will then emerge, and the legacy of the family brand will be successfully revived.
