FO'AH celebrates two major cultures of perfume: France, the birthplace of modern perfumery, and the Middle East, the land of enchanting scents.
The embodiment of this meeting of two worlds of perfumery is expressed by FOAH through an ancient symbol of the hospitality of the Emirati culture: the palm tree.
It was in its beneficial, fragrant shade that travelers along the Silk Road stopped to rest, trade and exchange stories, philosophies and new ideas.
This palm tree also gave its theme to the "Mémoires d'une Palmeraie" collection. At the heart of these five fragrances is a note that is emblematic of the House and exclusive to it: the scent of the palm tree in bloom.
The origins of FO'AH lie in the meeting of Émilie Dewell, a french young woman whose olfactory education took place among the flowers of Grasse, and His Excellency Abdulla Al-Masaood, who belongs to one of the oldest families in Abu-Dhabi.
Their different backgrounds and histories, but shared passion for fragrances, have fostered a friendship that is as strong as it is unexpected.
Naturally, they had the idea of founding a perfume house that would express a vision of perfumery that was open to the world, generous and curious about all influences.
FO'AH was born.
Émilie Dewell is a radiant woman whose olfactory education took place among the flowers of Grasse, in the south of France. She later grew up in the Emirates. It was there that she discovered another great ancestral perfume culture, very different from that of France. The idea of founding a House of Fragrances that would express a shared vision of perfumery that is open to the world, generous and curious about all influences, came naturally to her.
The Palm note is the exclusive signature of the "Mémoires d'une Palmeraie" collection. Present in each of the fragrances from the Franco-Emirati House, it invites you to a sensory experience where olfactory emotions, the soul of two thousand-year-old cultures and the absolute modernity of the compositions come together.
