A vocation born of an olfactory memory

It all began with a sensory imprint. Her mother's perfume, L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci, placed on her pillow, became the emotional anchor of her entire life. From an early age, Céline developed a gentle obsession with smells: warm bread, Corsican fig trees, clothes steeped in everyday life... "I smelled everything I could smell everything. Before eating, I smelled. Before I spoke, I smelled," she says.

From chemistry to art

Trained at ENSIACET in chemical engineering, Céline Guivarc'h quickly chose perfumery as her career path. Her time at ISIPCA gave her access to a complete vision of the profession: raw materials, formulation, regulations. But it was as a passionate self-taught perfumer that she refined her olfactory language. Deprived of traditional in-house training, she spent years smelling, analyzing and recomposing. To the point of making the laboratory her playground.

From Grasse to London, from Barcelona to La Garriga, Céline accumulated a wealth of experience. She worked at Floressence, Bejar Signature, then Robertet and Eurofragance, where she took part in fine and functional perfumery projects for international markets. She learned to formulate for all media: alcoholic fragrances, skincare products, candles, detergents, shower gels... with scientific rigor and a rare artistic sensitivity.

Guiv'Art Fragrances: a manifesto of independence

In 2021, she founded Guiv'Art Fragrances, her own laboratory in La Garriga, not far from Barcelona. Here, in soothing surroundings, she designs bespoke fragrances for houses in search of sincerity and consistency. No superfluous marketing, no cloned formulas. Each creation is conceived like a hand-tailored garment. She works directly with brands, founders and project leaders.

Her creations include fragrances for Irish brand Cloon Keen, Sylvan Song and Paris Rose for Grossmith, and eight fragrances for Ramón Bejar: Deep Amber, Celestial Rose, Wild Oud, Elvish Musk, Iris Magnum, Jasmine Maat, Sanctum Perfume and Secret Sandalwood.

Favourite materials and childhood impulses

Her olfactory preferences tell the story of an intimate geography: Corsica, with its immortelle and fig trees; gardens where lilacs bloom; the vanilla desserts she prepares with gourmandise. Céline loves sunny, balsamic notes, deep woods and marine accords reminiscent of sea fennel. She pays as much attention to memories as to materials, to silences as to scents.

A perfumer of curiosity

Céline Guivarc'h stands out for her ability to translate emotions into scents, to create a bridge between the history of a brand and the skin of her customers. She accompanies, advises and trains. Her knowledge of natural raw materials is as sensory as it is technical, and her curiosity never wavers. For her, every formula is a search, every fragrance a path towards the other.
