Patrick Müller: A citizen of the world and a perfumer in the making

Born in Bahrain and raised in Switzerland, England, and the USA, Patrick Müller's global upbringing not only made him a true globetrotter but also allowed him to experience the best of all worlds.

Patrick started as a student of biology and medicine, navigating the technical side of molecular science. However, his true passion emerged in 2012 when he began working for LUZI as a Sales Manager for the Middle East region. It was love at first try! His career rapidly progressed, leading him to relocate to Dubai in 2018 to open LUZI’s office. With this move, he stepped into the role of Managing Director and later also served as Regional Sales Director for the Middle East.

"When you get to work on what you love daily, your job becomes your passion", he says. This is how Patrick discovered that perfumery was his true calling. His interests encompass raw materials, applications, technology, and the chemistry behind fragrances. This enthusiasm drove him to delve deeply into niche and oriental perfumes, exploring their applications like Bakhoor and typical oriental raw materials such as Oud, Amber, and Musk. For Patrick, oriental perfumery is more than just a fragrance family; it is his family. He draws inspiration from and enjoys immersing himself in the unique nature, culture, beliefs, and cuisine of the region he calls home.

Patrick's keen sense of smell extends beyond perfumery. With a 400-bottle gin collection, a passion for luxury cars, culinary arts, fishing, and boating, he epitomizes the bon vivant. A fascinating personality, Patrick is distinguished by his remarkable versatility and dedication both professionally and personally.
